Premier League top team - Al-Muharraq (9-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Al-Nweidrat (1-8) in Nuwaidrat 103-83. Al-Muharraq players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Al-Nweidrat was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Mohamed Aldurazi nailed 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and American forward Sean Williams (208-86, college: Boston Coll.) accounted for 9 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks. Al-Muharraq's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hassan Abbas came up with 24 points and 8 rebounds and Ebrahim Albasri added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Al-Nweidrat in the defeat. Four Al-Nweidrat players scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Al-Muharraq. They maintain first place with 9-0 record. Al-Nweidrat lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with eight games lost. Al-Muharraq will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Al-Nweidrat will play on the road against Isa Town (#10) in Issa Town and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
