Regular Season Round 9: HNMKY - Go Time 96-77

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Helsinki: HNMKY (#6) and Go Time (#8). HNMKY (5-4) crushed visiting Go Time (3-7) by 19 points 96-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Go Time. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 96-77. HNMKY forced 30 Go Time turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Niklas Vallila (193-1) who scored 28 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Center Max Besselink (197-2) chipped in 24 points and 8 rebounds. Four HNMKY players scored in double figures. HNMKY's coach Timo Saukkola used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Samatar Abokar (190-1) who recorded a double-double by scoring 32 points and 10 rebounds and center Federiko Federiko (205-1) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively. HNMKY moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Pyrinto and KTP. Go Time at the other side keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. HNMKY's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Helsinki to the arena Sykki.
