Bottom-ranked Wuhan (0-23) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 23th consecutive match to fifth ranked Beijing Great Wall (17-6) 90-56 on Wednesday evening. Beijing Great Wall dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Wuhan's 32. They outrebounded Wuhan 38-24 including a 32-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Beijing Great Wall looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Morgan Tuck (188-94, college: Connecticut) who scored 22 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Point guard Yu Qi (171) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Five Beijing Great Wall players scored in double figures. Yang Yang produced 11 points and Huaqian Peng added 6 points and 7 assists respectively for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion maintains fifth place with 17-6 record. Wuhan lost their seventeenth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings. Beijing Great Wall will meet at home Dragons (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Wuhan will play against Tianjin (#17) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
