An interesting game took place in Anshan where higher ranked Blue Whales (11-12) were upset on the court of fourteenth ranked Liaoning Hengye (7-16) 66-40. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Blue Whales. Liaoning Hengye held Blue Whales to an opponent 19.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Liaoning Hengye brought some defensive toughness making 11 blocks. American center Rachel Hollivay (196-93, college: Rutgers, agency: ProDep Management) orchestrated the victory by scoring 9 points, 15 rebounds and 6 blocks. Guard TingTing Wang (175-91) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Liaoning Hengye players scored in double figures. Belarusian center Yelena Leuchanka (196-83, college: W.Virginia) answered with 9 points, 22 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Fangzhu Gong (170-91) added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Blue Whales. Liaoning Hengye moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Zhejiang. Blue Whales at the other side keep the ninth position with 12 games lost.
