Very important is a road loss of third ranked Artego Bydg. (9-2) against fourth ranked Energa Torun (8-3) on Wednesday night. Visiting Artego Bydg. was defeated by Energa Torun in a tough game in Torun 70-77. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Artego Bydg.. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian guard Nirra Fields (175-93, college: UCLA) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international forward Emilia Tlumak (184-82) who added 16 points during the contest. Energa Torun's coach Stefan Svitek allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Julie McBride (163-82, college: Syracuse) with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 assists and 6 steals and Serbian-Bosnian center Dragana Stankovic (195-95) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Four Artego Bydg. players scored in double figures. Energa Torun have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 8-3 record, which they share with Sleza Wroclaw. Artego Bydg. at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. They share the position with Arka Gdynia.
