Everything went according to plan in Jinan where fourth ranked Beijing Ducks (17-5) outscored 11th ranked Golden Stars (10-12) 96-76. Beijing Ducks dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Golden Stars' 32. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Golden Stars' players. 25 personal fouls committed by Golden Stars helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Croatian-American center Justin Hamilton (213-90, college: LSU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks. The former international forward Xiaochuan Zhai (205-93) contributed with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Beijing Ducks' coach Giannis Christopoulos allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. International guard Ruheng Wang (191-90) answered with 23 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and the former international center Ke Wu (209-90) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Golden Stars. The victory was the thirteenth consecutive win for Beijing Ducks. They moved-up to third place. Golden Stars at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Beijing Ducks' next round opponent will be Brave Dragons (#14) in Taiyuan which should be another easy win for them. Golden Stars will play on the road against Fly Dragons in Beijing and hope to win that game.
