Very predictable result in Shanghai where eighth ranked Sharks (14-8) defeated 14th ranked Monkey Kings (7-15) 113-105. Sharks players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 47 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 9 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Argentinian-Spanish power forward Luis Scola (206-80) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Sharks players scored in double figures. American guard Joseph Young (188-92, college: Oregon) answered with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Xin Feng (187-92) added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists (perfect behind the arc making all five shots) in the effort for Monkey Kings. Monkey Kings' coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Sharks. They moved-up to seventh place. Monkey Kings at the other side dropped to the fifteenth position with 15 games lost. Sharks' next round opponent will be Sturgeons (#8) in Jinjiang. Monkey Kings will play on the road against Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (#4) in Hangzhou and hope to win that game.
