Not a big story in a game when one of their biggest challengers Alcobendas (9-4) was rolled over on the road by second ranked Real Madrid II (11-2) 93-72 on Thursday. Real Madrid II dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Alcobendas' 42. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Serbian forward Mario Nakic (199-1) scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Senegalese center Amar Sylla (206-1) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Real Madrid II players scored in double figures. Forward David Marina (202-88) responded with 21 points and guard Gabriel Diaz-Morera (197-89) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Real Madrid II maintains second position in Group B with 11-2 record having just one point less than leader Lliria. Alcobendas lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third place with four games lost. Real Madrid II will face Lanzarote (#12) in Arrecife in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Alcobendas will play at home against CB Guadalajara (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
