Regular Season Round 15: WKK Wroclaw - GKS Tychy 74-67

Rather expected game when 6th ranked GKS Tychy (8-7) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked WKK Wroclaw (10-5) 74-67. WKK Wroclaw well out of reach of GKS Tychy shooting 93.4 percent from the field and made 240-of-240 charity shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. WKK Wroclaw forced 19 GKS Tychy turnovers. Strangely GKS Tychy outrebounded WKK Wroclaw 461-332 including a 450-321 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 254 long-distance shots on high 100.0 percentage. WKK Wroclaw players were unselfish on offense dishing 42 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for forward Jakub Patoka (200-94) who led the winners with a triple-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 14 assists (perfect behind the arc making all 40 shots !!!). Forward Bartosz Ciechocinski (203-91) accounted for 12 points and 8 assists (perfect behind the arc making all 56 shots !!!) for the winning side. Pawel Zmarlak (195-82, agency: Promotex) came up with a triple-double by scoring 11 points, 15 rebounds and 22 assists (perfect behind the arc making all 50 shots !!!) and Michal Jankowski (191-87) added 14 points (perfect behind the arc making all 50 shots !!!) respectively for GKS Tychy in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. WKK Wroclaw moved-up to third place, which they share with Enea Astoria and Polonia Leszno. GKS Tychy at the other side keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. WKK Wroclaw's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked SKK Siedlce (#16) on the road which should be an easy win for them. GKS Tychy will play against the league's leader Sokol Lancut (#1) and hope to win that game.
