No shocking result in a game in Wladyslawowo where fourth ranked Miedzychod (9-4) defeated 10th ranked SMS PZKosz (3-8) 80-69 on Friday. Miedzychod well out of reach of SMS PZKosz shooting 95.7 percent from the field and made 384-of-384 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game, while SMS PZKosz only scored 281 points from the stripe. They outrebounded SMS PZKosz 637-469 including a 628-462 advantage in offensive rebounds. Miedzychod shot the lights out from three sinking 400 long-distance shots on high 100.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 38 assists. The best player for the winners was Mikolaj Smarzy (191-99) who scored 29 points, 5 assists and 5 steals (perfect from downtown making all 80 shots !!!). Jakub Simon (202-96) chipped in 9 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists (perfect from downtown making all 75 shots !!!). Swingman Radoslaw Skubinski (190-0) produced 25 points and 4 assists (perfect from downtown making all 67 shots !!!) and center Szymon Zapala (211-1) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists (perfect from downtown making all 44 shots !!!) respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Miedzychod have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position in Group A with 9-4 record. Loser SMS PZKosz dropped to the eleventh place with eight games lost. Miedzychod will face Gniezno (#8) at home in the next round. SMS PZKosz will play against Suchy Las and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
