Date: December 21, 2018
Important game to mention about took place in Osorno. Sixth ranked Osorno Basquetbol (7-11) saved a 2-point victory at home edging much higher ranked Universidad de Concepcion (9-8) 78-76 on Friday evening. The winners were led by Brazilian center Dida Pereira (202-92, college: Sequoias CC) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and American forward Darnell Dodson (201-89, college: S.Mississippi) supported him with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Even 26 points and 6 rebounds by American guard Kyle Lamonte (191-84, college: William Carey) did not help to save the game for Universidad de Concepcion. International guard Diego Silva (186-93) added 17 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Osorno Basquetbol maintains sixth position with 7-11 record. Universidad de Concepcion at the other side keeps the second place with eight games lost. They share the position with CD Castro and Los Leones. Osorno Basquetbol will play against league's leader Temuco at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Universidad de Concepcion will play against the league's leader Las Animas in Valdivia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
