Regular Season Round 11: Aix-Maurienne - Rouen 77-70

There was a small surprise in Aix-les-Bains where ninth ranked Aix-Maurienne (6-5) defeated 6th ranked SPO Rouen (6-5) 77-70 on Friday. Aix-Maurienne forced 20 SPO Rouen turnovers. Strangely SPO Rouen outrebounded Aix-Maurienne 33-21 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American power forward Brandon Peterson (203-90, college: Arkansas St., agency: Inception Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 8 rebounds. Canadian-Jamaican point guard Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson (178-91, college: Calgary) helped adding 13 points and 5 assists. American-Nigerian forward Christian Nwogbo (190-91, college: Cedarville, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American-Liberian guard Lasan Kromah (198-91, college: Connecticut) scored 21 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Aix-Maurienne moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated SPO Rouen. Aix-Maurienne will face bottom-ranked Caen (#18) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
