Regular Season Round 13: Scrivia - Ponzano 75-46

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Scrivia (10-3) outplayed at home 10th ranked Ponzano (4-9) 75-46 on Saturday. Scrivia looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Quite impressive performance for swingman Sara Canova (174-89, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who helped to win the game recording 18 points (perfect from the field making all six shots). Romanian Adina Stoiedin (190-91) contributed with 8 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Forward Giulia Brotto (182-91) answered with 20 points and 6 rebounds and center Gloria Vian (190-89) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Ponzano. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Scrivia moved-up to fourth place in A2. Newly promoted Ponzano keeps the tenth position with nine games lost. Scrivia will face Marghera (#9) in Venezia in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Ponzano will play at home against the league's second-placed Alpo VF and hope to win that game.
