Regular Season Round 12: Alcobendas - Granada 62-51

Everything went according to plan when eighth ranked Alcobendas (6-6) beat at home 11th ranked Granada (4-8) 62-51 on Saturday. They outrebounded Granada 52-36 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Erika Livermore (185-93, college: Fair Dickinson) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds and the other American import guard Sierra Moore (180-94, college: Penn St.) who added 18 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Maryah Sydnor (185-93, college: Appalachian St.) with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and forward Rebeca Rodriguez (180-93) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Alcobendas moved-up to seventh place in Group B, which they share with Estudiantes. Granada lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost. Alcobendas will face De La Torre (#12) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Granada will play against Genero and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
