Very expected game when 7th ranked Huracanes (3-19) lost to third ranked Aaguacateros (13-9) in Tampico 88-93 on Saturday. Aaguacateros made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. American Dominic McGuire (206-85, college: Fresno St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import center Maurice Sutton (211-89, college: Villanova) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized American guard Martin Samarco (190-85, college: Bowling Green) answered with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Timajh Parker-Rivera (202-94, college: Towson) added 9 points and 19 rebounds in the effort for Huracanes. Five Aaguacateros and four Huracanes players scored in double figures. Aaguacateros moved-up to second place, which they share with Soles. Newly promoted Huracanes keep the seventh position with 19 games lost. Aaguacateros will face Laguneros (#5) in Torreon in the next round. Huracanes will play on the road against the league's leader Capitanes in Mexico and hope to win that game.
