A very close game took place in Pefkohori between Evropi and Psychiko. Eleventh ranked Evropi (5-6) got a very close home victory over higher ranked Psychiko (6-5). Evropi managed to escape with a 2-point win 85-83 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Psychiko. The best player for the winners was forward Vassilis Kitsoulis (203-83) who scored 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Angelos Gatzias (192-94) chipped in 25 points. Evropi's coach Evripidis Meletiadis used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Nikolaos Papanikolaou (209-85) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and Estonian Martin Paasoja (191-93) added 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Evropi moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Koroivos. Loser Psychiko keeps the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Diagoras D. and Karditsas. Evropi will meet higher ranked Karditsas (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Psychiko will play against Charilaos TM and hope to secure a win.
