Rather expected game when 6th ranked Yokohama BC (6-19) was crushed at home by third ranked Toyota Alvark (16-9) 88-56 on Saturday. Toyota Alvark looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international Daiki Tanaka (191-91) stepped up and scored 15 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners and Montenegrin-Serbian power forward Milko Bjelica (207-84, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Toyota Alvark players scored in double figures. At the losing side American power forward Alex Stepheson (208-87, college: USC) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and international point guard Ryo Tawatari (180-93, college: Dominican, CA) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
