Regular Season Round 14: PBB - Innova Chef 83-72

There was a change at the EBA leadership position after last games. Round 14 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Innova Chef (8-3). They were defeated by seventh ranked PBB (7-4) 83-72 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Innova Chef. PBB looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Innova Chef's players. Point guard Lucas Vaquero (185-89) had a triple-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Jorge Cabaleiro chipped in 20 points during the contest. PBB's coach Jenaro Alonso used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Vincent Dillard (196-92, college: Charleston) responded with 23 points and 9 rebounds and Nigerian-American guard Rob Ukawuba (191-94, college: NJIT) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. PBB have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place in Group A-B. Innova Chef at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. They were replaced at the leadership position by Lliria. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
