Very important is a loss of second ranked Taiwan Beer (8-5) against sixth ranked Fubon Braves (6-7) on Saturday night. Taiwan Beer was defeated by Fubon Braves in a tough game 80-85. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Taiwan Beer. Fubon Braves shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 68.2 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 13 blocks. It was a good game for Costa Rican-Belizean forward Charles Garcia (208-88, college: Seattle) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. American forward Tony Mitchell (203-92, college: N.Texas) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 8 blocks for the winners. Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-89) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and international guard Li-Huan Cheng (189-88) added 13 points and 6 assists in the effort for Taiwan Beer. Taiwan Beer's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Fubon Braves moved-up to fourth place. Taiwan Beer at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. Fubon Braves will play against bottom-ranked Bank of Taiwan (#7) in the next round. Taiwan Beer will play against Pauian (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
