We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Rodou where 12th ranked Cretan Kings (2-8) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Kolossos HH (2-7) 74-63 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Kolossos HH. Cretan Kings managed to win fourth quarter 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American swingman Quincy Diggs (198-90, college: Akron, agency: Mansfield and Associates) scored 6 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Sterling Gibbs (188-93, college: Connecticut, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 13 points during the contest. At the losing side Ukrainian-American guard Steven Burtt (189-84, college: Iona) responded with 21 points and American forward Travis Daniels (202-92, college: Mississippi St., agency: Octagon Europe) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kolossos HH moved-up to eleventh place. Cretan Kings lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with eight games lost. They share it with Aris. Kolossos HH will meet higher ranked Peristeri GS (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Cretan Kings will play against Ifestos (#8) and hope to secure a win.
