A very close game took place in Fukuoka between Hokkaido L. and Fukuoka Rizing. Sixth ranked Hokkaido L. (7-18) got a very close victory on the road over 5th ranked Fukuoka Rizing (5-20). Hokkaido L. managed to escape with a 2-point win 82-80 in the fight for the sixth place. Canadian-Italian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) fired 29 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Spanish center David Doblas (206-81) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. British forward Benjamin Lawson (216-95, college: W.Kentucky) produced 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks and American center Dexter Pittman (208-88, college: Texas) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Hokkaido L. maintains sixth place with 7-18 record which they share with defeated Fukuoka Rizing. Fukuoka Rizing lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the sixth position with 20 games lost. Hokkaido L. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Fukuoka Rizing will play again against Hokkaido L. (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
