Important game to mention about took place in Nantes. Tenth ranked Nantes Reze (4-6) saved a 2-point victory at home edging much higher ranked Lyon (8-2) 74-72 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Lyon. Nantes Reze made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Lyon turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Nantes Reze especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. At the losing side Canadian forward Michelle Plouffe (193-92, college: Utah) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Brazilian center Clarissa Dos-Santos (185-88, agency: ProDep Management) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Nantes Reze moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Flammes and Bretagne Basket. Lyon at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with Lattes Montp.. Nantes Reze will play against Flammes (#8) in Charleville in the next round. Lyon will play at home against Roche (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
