Regular Season Round 16: Toulouse - Le Havre 78-63

There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Toulouse (7-8) defeated at home higher ranked STB Le Havre (9-6) 78-63 on Saturday. Toulouse looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Guyanese Mike Joseph (203-94) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Tony Housieaux (199-89) who added 15 points during the contest. At the losing side American forward Demond Watt (200-89, college: Texas A&M-CC) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and Spanish point guard Mikel Uriz (182-89) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Toulouse moved-up to tenth place in Group B, which they share with RAC Basket. Loser STB Le Havre keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Toulouse will face higher ranked JSA Bordeaux (#6) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. STB Le Havre will play against the league's leader Vendee Challans having rather not much hope for a victory.
