Regular Season Round 16: Feurs EF - Besancon 67-56

There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Besancon (9-7) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Feurs EF (8-8) 67-56 on Saturday. Feurs EF had a 39-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Constantin Minla-Avoundi (186-96, college: N.Iowa Area CC) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and Senegalese power forward Madiop Ndiaye (208-95) who added 10 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Four Feurs EF players scored in double figures. At the losing side naturalized Congolese center Valentin Mukuna (207-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Clement Martin (180-94) scored 20 points. Feurs EF moved-up to sixth place in Group A, which they share with Boulogne and Sorgues BC. Besancon at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Feurs EF will face league's leader Souffelweyersheim at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Besancon will play against Kaysersberg (#11) and hope to win that game.
