There was a small surprise when seventh ranked Orzinuovi (8-5) defeated at home 4th placed Urania Milano (8-5) 68-63 on Sunday. Orzinuovi made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Urania Milano was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Lorenzo Galmarini (200-95) fired 24 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Michele Peroni (190-94) chipped in 16 points. The former international power forward Andrea Paleari (202-81) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Alexander Simoncelli (188-86, agency: Octagon Europe) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Four Urania Milano players scored in double figures. Urania Milano's coach Davide Villa rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
