There was a surprise result when eighth ranked Alba (8-5) defeated on the road 4th placed San Miniato (9-4) 81-68 on Sunday. They outrebounded San Miniato 39-24 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Power forward Giacomo DellAgnello (200-94) fired 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Center Emanuele Tarditi (204-93, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 21 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Alba players scored in double figures. Guard Ferdinando Nasello (194-95) produced 25 points and point guard Andrea Mazzucchelli (189-94, agency: Octagon Europe) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Alba moved-up to third place in B, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser San Miniato dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Alba will face Cecina (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. San Miniato will play against Mamy.eu Oleggio (#14) and hope to win that game.
