Rather predictable result in Reggio Emilia where eleventh ranked Alma TR (6-5) defeated 15th ranked Grissin Bon RE (3-8) 84-71 on Sunday. Alma TR dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Grissin Bon RE's 32. They outrebounded Grissin Bon RE 42-31 including a 35-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Alma TR looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Croatian forward Hrvoje Peric (203-85) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds. American point guard Chris Wright (185-89, college: Georgetown) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Alma TR players scored in double figures. Austrian power forward Benjamin Ortner (206-83, college: Metro St.) produced 14 points and Spanish Pablo Aguilar (203-89) added 4 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Grissin Bon RE's coach Devis Cagnardi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Alma TR moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Happy Casa BR.
