Regular Season Round 19: Tokyo Big Blue - Aisin AW 63-94

Bottom-ranked Tokyo Big Blue is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 12th consecutive match to sixth ranked Aisin AW (8-4) 94-63. Aisin AW dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Big Blue's 28. They outrebounded Tokyo Big Blue 49-35 including 34 on the defensive glass. Aisin AW brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was a great evening for American forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 26 rebounds. Point guard Yuki Ishihara (180-91) helped adding 18 points and 5 assists. Four Aisin AW players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Kota Goto (176-94) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aisin AW have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain sixth place with 8-4 record. Tokyo Big Blue at the other side still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Aisin AW will play against Iwate Big Bulls (#9) at home in the next round.
