Rather expected game when 11th ranked Rosa (4-7) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (7-6) 82-74 on Sunday. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Rosa turnovers. It was a great evening for American guard Ben Richardson (190-96, college: Loyola, IL) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 7 assists. His fellow American import forward Cleveland Melvin (203-91, college: De Paul) helped adding 18 points and 6 rebounds. Richardson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American-Hungarian point guard Obadiah Trotter (188-84, college: Alabama A&M) responded with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Marcin Piechowicz (198-93) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for MKS Dabrowa Gornicza. They moved-up to seventh place. Loser Rosa dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. They share it with GTK Gliwice and TBV Start. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza will meet at home Legia (#8) in the next round. Rosa will play against the league's leader Stelmet Enea BC and will have a slim chance for a victory.
