Regular Season Round 26: Sendai 89ers - Yamagata 83-61

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Sendai. Third ranked Sendai 89ers faced 4th ranked Yamagata. Host Sendai 89ers (18-8) smashed guests from Yamagata (12-14) 83-61. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Yamagata. They outrebounded Yamagata 38-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. Sendai 89ers looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Yamagata's players. Sendai 89ers keep a position of league leader, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Yamagata keeps the fourth place with 14 games lost. Sendai 89ers will face league's second-placed Cyberdyne IR in Tsukuba in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Yamagata will play on the road against the league's leader Shinshu BW in Nagano and hope to win that game.
