Regular Season Round 26: Osaka Evessa - Tochigi Brex 76-73

Top ranked Tochigi Brex (21-5) recorded its fifth loss on the court of fourth ranked Osaka Evessa on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by Osaka Evessa 76-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tochigi Brex. The best player for the winners was American power forward Xavier Gibson (210-88, college: Florida St.) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. The former international forward Naoya Kumagae (194-90) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. American forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) produced 28 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Jeffrey Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) added 14 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Osaka Evessa maintains fourth position with 10-16 record, which they share with Akita NH. Tochigi Brex at the other side still keeps top place with five games lost. They share the position with Chiba Jets. Osaka Evessa is looking forward to face league's leader Ryukyu GK in Okinawa in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Tochigi Brex will have a break next round.
