An interesting game for United (11-5) which played road game in Sydney against their biggest opponent Kings (10-5). Third ranked United managed to get a 5-point victory 75-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kings. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when United made 8 blocks. The former international forward David Barlow (205-83, college: Metro St.) notched a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and American point guard Casper Ware (178-90, college: Long Beach St.) supported him with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. United's coach Dean Vickerman used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even a double-double of 11 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks by the former international center Andrew Bogut (213-84, college: Utah) did not help to save the game for Kings. Ukrainian-American point guard Jerome Randle (175-87, college: California) added 15 points for lost side. Four Kings players scored in double figures. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Loser Kings dropped to the third place with five games lost. United will meet at home Adelaide 36ers (#5) in the next round. Kings will play against Bullets and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
