Strangely Al Khor outrebounded Al Ahli 43-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (196-91, college: Missouri, agency: Haylett Sports) accounted for 25 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Four Al Ahli players scored in double figures. American forward Dominique Lacy (201-89, college: NC-Wilmington) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Aladji-Bobo Magassa added 15 points and 14 rebounds respectively for Al Khor in the defeat. Al Ahli's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Doha to the arena Qatar Sports Club.
