The game in Jinjiang was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (17-6) played at the court of 8th ranked Sturgeons (13-11). Zhejiang Guangsha Lions managed to secure a 5-point victory 121-116 on Tuesday. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions made 28-of-32 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American point guard Courtney Fortson (180-88, college: Arkansas) stepped up with a triple-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 14 assists for the winners and Taiwanese guard Chih-Chieh Lin (192-82) chipped in 21 points and 9 rebounds. Four Zhejiang Guangsha Lions players scored in double figures. At the losing side Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-89, college: St.Bonaventure) responded with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 15 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots) and international Zhelin Wang (214-94) scored 31 points and 9 rebounds. Sturgeons' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the third consecutive win for Zhejiang Guangsha Lions. They moved-up to fourth place. Loser Sturgeons keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Guangzhou LL. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will meet Sharks (#7) in the next round. Sturgeons will play against Bayi Rockets in Ningbo and hope to secure a win.
