Regular Season Round 11: Nes-Ziona - Bnei Hertzeliya 81-79

The most exciting game of round 11 in the Winner League took place in Nes Ziyona. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked Bnei Hasharon (4-7) to eighth ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (5-6) 81-79 on Wednesday evening. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 27-18 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American-Puerto Rican guard Gary Browne (185-93, college: W.Virginia) who scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Naturalized Welsh Tal-Michael Dunne (198-87) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. American forward Jeff Adrien (201-86, college: Connecticut) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and American-Georgian guard Michael Dixon (186-90, college: Memphis, agency: Interperformances) added 20 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ironi Nes-Ziona have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Beer Sheva. Bnei Hasharon at the other side dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with Rishon. Ironi Nes-Ziona is looking forward to face Rishon (#9) in Rishon Le-Zion in the next round. Bnei Hasharon will play on the road against Hapoel Jerusalem and is hoping to win this game.
