Regular Season Round 27: Osaka Evessa - Ryukyu GK 85-44

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Ryukyu GK (20-7) on the court of fourth ranked Osaka Evessa on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by Osaka Evessa 85-44. Osaka Evessa outrebounded Ryukyu GK 47-30 including a 36-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. The former international center Pape Faye (200-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American forward Jeff Ayres (206-87, college: Arizona St.) answered with 6 points and 8 rebounds and forward Hayato Kantake (194-86) added 13 points in the effort for Ryukyu GK. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Osaka Evessa maintains fourth place with 11-16 record. Ryukyu GK lost third consecutive game. They still keep top position with seven games lost. Osaka Evessa are looking forward to face Shiga L-Stars (#6) at home in the next round.
