Regular Season Round 28: Tochigi Brex - Akita NH 84-59
Date: December 27, 2018
No shocking result in a game when first ranked Tochigi Brex (23-5) outleveled at home 5th ranked Akita Happinets (10-18) 84-59 on Thursday. Tochigi Brex looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Yusuke Endo (185-89) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 assists and American forward Jeffrey Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) who added 6 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals during the contest. At the losing side Bahamas forward Dwight Coleby (206-94, college: W.Kentucky) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and Bahamas power forward Kadeem Coleby (206-89, college: Wichita St.) scored 10 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tochigi Brex have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 23-5 record, which they share with Chiba Jets. Akita Happinets lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the fifth place with 18 games lost. Tochigi Brex will face league's second-placed Diamond Dolphins in Nagoya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Akita Happinets will play at home against San-en NeoPhoenix and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
