The most exciting game of round 12 in the LFB took place in San Sebastian. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 3rd ranked Gernika (9-3) to sixth ranked Gipuzkoa UPV (8-4) 65-64 on Thursday evening. The best for the losing side was Ukrainian center Valeriya Berezhynska (193-86, college: Rice, agency: ProDep Management) with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Canadian-British guard Rachael Vanderwal (175-83, college: Boston U.) scored 16 points. Gipuzkoa UPV have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Valencia. Gernika at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with AE Sedis. Gipuzkoa UPV is looking forward to face league's leader Argon Uni Girona on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Gernika will play against Mann Filter and is hoping to win this game.
