LEB Gold top team - Real Betis (13-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat fifth ranked Oviedo CB (9-6) in Sevilla 85-69. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Oviedo CB. Real Betis dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Oviedo CB's 34. It was a quality performance for point guard Lluis Costa (187-93) who led the winners and scored 5 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. American center Babatunde Olumuyiwa (203-92, college: USC Upstate) accounted for 12 points for the winning side. Real Betis' coach Curro Segura used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Oliver Arteaga (208-83) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and Lithuanian forward Rolandas Jakstas (202-92) added 10 points and 5 assists respectively for Oviedo CB in the defeat. Four Oviedo CB players scored in double figures. Real Betis have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-2 record. Oviedo CB at the other side keeps the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Forca Lleida and Melilla. Real Betis will play against Castello (#15) in Castellon in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Oviedo CB will play at home against Palma (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
