An interesting game took place in Coruna where higher ranked Lleida Basquet (9-6) was upset on the court of fourteenth ranked Leyma Basquet (7-9) 73-61. It was a good game for American forward Quinton Stephens (206-95, college: Georgia Tech) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Zach Monaghan (188-92, college: Minn.St.-Mankato) contributed with 12 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four Leyma Basquet players scored in double figures. Forward Miguel Feliu (198-85, agency: Duran International) answered with 12 points and 5 rebounds and Senegalese center Papa Mbaye (209-90) added 12 points in the effort for Lleida Basquet. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Leyma Basquet. They moved-up to thirteenth place. Lleida Basquet lost their fourth game in a row. Lleida Basquet at the other side dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Leyma Basquet's next round opponent will be higher ranked Magia Huesca (#3) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lleida Basquet will play against Carramimbre and hope to win that game.
