Regular Season Round 25: Angeles - Correcaminos 82-79

The most exciting game of round 25 in the LNBP took place in Puebla. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Correcaminos (12-12) to seventh ranked Angeles (7-17) 82-79 on Saturday evening. Puerto Rican forward Carlos Lopez-Sosa (208-90, college: UNLV) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Bryan Davis (206-86, college: Texas A&M) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Greg Smith (198-91, college: Colorado St.) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized American forward Aaron Perez (196-86, college: Oklah.Baptist) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Correcaminos players scored in double figures. Correcaminos' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Angeles maintains seventh place with 7-17 record. Correcaminos at the other side keep the fourth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Panteras. Angeles are looking forward to face higher ranked Laguneros (#5) in Torreon in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Correcaminos will play at home against Panteras and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
