Very expected game in Vitoria-Gasteiz where 14th ranked Araberri (5-10) was defeated by third ranked Magia Huesca (11-4) 87-81 on Saturday. Magia Huesca looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Araberri's players. It was a great evening for Belgian-American guard Tyler Haws (193-91, college: BYU) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points. Estonian center Rauno Nurger (208-93, college: Wichita St.) helped adding 19 points and 8 rebounds. Magia Huesca's coach Guillermo Arenas used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The best for the losing side was American guard Junior Robinson (165-96, college: Mt.St.Mary's) with 24 points and the other American import swingman Niksha Federico (201-95, college: Hawaii Pacific, agency: Two Points) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Araberri players scored in double figures. Magia Huesca moved-up to second place, which they share with Palencia and RETAbet BB. Loser Araberri keeps the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Magia Huesca will face Leyma Basquet (#13) in Coruna in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Araberri will play at home against Ourense and hope to win that game.
