Rather expected game when 5th ranked Kanazawa Sam. (9-19) was smashed by third ranked Nishinomiya S. (12-16) in Hyogo 87-66 on Saturday. Nishinomiya S. dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Kanazawa Sam.'s 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for American center Brad Waldow (208-91, college: St.Mary's, CA, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) contributed with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Jamaican-American power forward Ryan Reid (204-86, college: Florida St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds and American power forward Denzel Bowles (208-89, college: JMU) added 15 points in the effort for Kanazawa Sam.Five Nishinomiya S. and four Kanazawa Sam. players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Nishinomiya S.. They maintain third place with 12-16 record having nine points less than leader Shinshu BW, which they share with Yamagata. Kanazawa Sam. lost their eleventh game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 19 games lost. Nishinomiya S. will face again Kanazawa Sam. (#5) in Ishikawa in the next round.
