Bottom-ranked Tokyo Big Blue (0-14) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their 14th consecutive match to fourth ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (13-13) 108-72. Tokyo Cinq R. had a 36-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Tokyo Big Blue's players. American forward Chris Olivier (203-92, college: Oklahoma St.) orchestrated the victory with a triple-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 17 rebounds and 10 assists (on 15-of-17 shooting from the field). Kodai Takahashi (180-91) contributed with 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Bryan Simpson (197-84) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Jey Yoshikawa (182-92) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Tokyo Big Blue. Five Tokyo Cinq R. and four Tokyo Big Blue players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Tokyo Cinq R. moved-up to third place. Tokyo Big Blue at the other side still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Tokyo Cinq R.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo Tokyo Big Blue.
