The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Hitachi Sunrockers' (13-15) home victory over 5th ranked Fukuoka Rizing (7-21) 67-61 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of American Ryan Kelly (211-91, college: Duke) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and Canadian center Robert Sacre (213-89, college: Gonzaga) who added 20 points and 17 rebounds during the contest. Hitachi Sunrockers' coach Geoffrey Katsuhisa used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side British forward Benjamin Lawson (216-95, college: W.Kentucky) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds and American Eric Jacobsen (208-94, college: Arizona St.) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Hitachi Sunrockers maintains fourth position with 13-15 record. Newly promoted Fukuoka Rizing keeps the fifth place with 21 games lost. Hitachi Sunrockers will face again Fukuoka Rizing (#5) at home in the next round.
