Regular Season Round 28: Toyotsu FE - Tokyo Z 95-82

The game between Top Four teams took place in Nagoya. Second ranked host Toyotsu FE (18-10) defeated 4th ranked Tokyo Z (10-18) 95-82. Toyotsu FE made 21-of-24 charity shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Toyotsu FE outrebounded Tokyo Z 39-21 including a 27-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a very good performance for American center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: Washington St.) contributed with 26 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Toyotsu FE players scored in double figures. Point guard Teppei Kashiwagura (180-95) replied with 20 points and South Sudanese forward Mogga Lado (201-95, college: Campbell) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Tokyo Z. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Toyotsu FE have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 18-10 record having just three points less than leader Shinshu BW. Tokyo Z at the other side keeps the fourth place with 18 games lost. Toyotsu FE's next round opponent will be Bambitious Nara (#5) on the road. Tokyo Z will play against Sendai 89ers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
