Not a big story in a game when 5th ranked Chieti (7-6) was defeated at home by top-ranked San Severo (14-0) 77-64 on Sunday. San Severo made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Emidio Di-Donato (198-92) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds. The former international power forward Massimo Rezzano (205-82, agency: SPORTlab Agency) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Gianluca Di-Carmine (200-86) produced 16 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized Senegalese guard Ousmane Gueye (192-82) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. San Severo maintains first position in B with 14-0 record. Newly promoted Chieti dropped to the seventh place with six games lost. San Severo will face Campli (#15) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Chieti will play against Porto S.Elpidio (#12) and hope to win that game.
