There was no surprise when 9th ranked Koping Stars (4-14) were defeated at home by third ranked BC Lulea (14-6) 86-68 on Sunday. The game without a history. BC Lulea led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great evening for American guard Corban Collins (190-94, college: Alabama) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 4 assists. British forward Robert Gilchrist (206-90, college: Florida St.) helped adding 15 points and 5 rebounds. BC Lulea's coach Peter Oqvist allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Serbian guard Aleksa Solevic (188-93, agency: Dynamics Global Management) responded with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists and American forward Desmond Hubert (208-92, college: N.Carolina) scored 9 points and 10 rebounds. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for BC Lulea. They maintain third place with 14-6 record having just one point less than leader Sodertalje. Koping Stars lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keep the ninth position with 14 games lost. BC Lulea will meet at home Nassjo (#6) in the next round. Koping Stars will play against Wetterbygden and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
