Regular Season Round 27: Xinjiang FT - Zhejiang Ch. 105-111

An interesting game took place in Urumqi where higher ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (17-8) was upset on its own court by thirteenth ranked Golden Bulls (10-16) 111-105 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Xinjiang Flying Tige. Golden Bulls made 26-of-33 free shots (78.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was Cheng Shuaipeng who scored 39 points (!!!) and 5 assists. Zilu Wang (-97) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was international Abudushalamu Abudurexiti (203-96) who recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks and American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: IPZ) added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Xinjiang Flying Tige's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Golden Bulls maintains thirteenth place with 10-16 record. Loser Xinjiang Flying Tige dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. Golden Bulls will meet at home higher ranked Golden Stars (#10) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Xinjiang Flying Tige will play against the league's leader Guandong Tigers (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
