Regular Season Round 29: Osaka Evessa - Shiga L-Stars 64-60

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Shiga L-Stars (6-23) were defeated on the road by fourth ranked Osaka Evessa (13-16) 64-60 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Rei Goda (181-93) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. Nigerian-American power forward Gani Lawal (206-88, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Octagon Europe) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds and American forward Marqus Blakely (201-88, college: Vermont) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the guests. The victory was the third consecutive win for Osaka Evessa. They maintain fourth place with 13-16 record, which they share with Hitachi SR. Shiga L-Stars lost their tenth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 23 games lost. Osaka Evessa will face league's leader Ryukyu GK in Okinawa in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Shiga L-Stars will play at home against the league's second-placed Chiba Jets (#2) and hope to win that game.
